Participant Profiles

People love the range of fun activities we offer at FLOWt .

Here’s what some of our participants and their guardians have to say:

Tim Sedgwick

AKA Chef Timbo

As part of our cooking fun, Kat and I grow vegetables together. It’s really cool to pick something you have grown to cook with. I can also share the veges with my family and friends.

I get some good ideas when I'm cooking. I like to make up my own recipes, so I don't waste food. I made coleslaw fritters one day. I added egg and flour to the leftover coleslaw. It was easy and yummy!

Kat also helps me with promoting my book that I’ve made. It’s called the Amazing Animal Alphabet. I did paintings of animals for each letter with my art teacher Geoff Bonney. You can buy my book at Collins Booksellers, The Ballarat Imaginarium, Mondo Green Cafe and the Art Gallery of Ballarat.

“It’s great working with Kat, she's pretty awesome. She's a really cool person, and easy to work with.”

“My daughter’s artistic journey has soared to new heights with FLOWt.”

Sarah Kentish

Amazing Artist

Fashion the Feeling
An Exhibition by Sarah Kentish

“I really enjoy making all kinds of art. It's a beautiful experience. To feel each picture as I work on it. And it's exciting to see the idea for a picture finish up on the page. When I make a picture, it feels especially great when I see the perfect, finished piece in a frame.

Even though I don't always love every piece, I always enjoy experimenting with different materials and ideas while I'm making them.

Flowt and TBH Studio were proud to present a new body of work by Sarah Kentish, a Ballarat based artist whose creative journey has been nurtured through NDIS-funded art classes. Working closely with her dedicated art teacher Wendy Stevens, Sarah has developed her unique voice, using art as a powerful medium of self-expression and emotional exploration.

Sarah's art is not only a testament to her individual creativity but also to the transformative power of supported artistic practice. Through guidance and encouragement, she has been able to explore new techniques, experiment with a great range of materials, and communicate her thoughts, feelings, aspirations and experiences in ways that words alone could not capture.
